Black Friday Weekly Challenge ~ Cricut Circle

This project required two different cuts from Cricut Cartridges, the color black and something recycled or repurposed. I am not sure where this idea came from but since my family was drinking wine over the Thanksgiving holiday I took some of the corks and made the back of the wreath. I dug in the box of corks they keep for making "cork boards" and pulled out the same brand corks to assure they were the same size.

I made this wreath using a green from Basic Grey Green at Heart and SEI Alpine papers. I cut the leaves from Winter Woodland Cartridge.

I sprayed the leaves with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist which you can see better in this picture without the flash.

I cut the poinsettia's and holly out of the Christmas Cartridge on my Gypsy out of Bazzill cardstock. I used Candy Cane Stickles to make them sparkle. I used green rhinestones with the I Rock.

Here you can see the back of my wreath. I glued the corks together with regular glue because that is all I had at the time I was developing my idea but then I cut out some cardboard and stapled that to them for support. I layered the holy leaves so the darker and lighter colored green alternated. I wanted to add some ribbon, but haven't had time yet. I think this would make a cool ornament or something to hang on a door. I plan to put together a big one next. I stole all the saved corks from my parents!

December Cricut Circle Magazine Challenge~Christmas Box or Bag

I used SEI paper from the Alpine Frost line. I cut the bag from Tags, Bags & Boxes Cart. I decorated it with a Tree cut from Christmas Cart I got free from the downloads to my Gypsy. The deer, snowflakes and poinsettia from Winter Woodland Cart. I embellished with Crystal, Holly, Candy Cane and Black Diamond Stickles. To complete the requirement of using something from a sponsor to Cricut Circle Magazine, I used my Imaginisce I Rock and adhered green rhinestones for some bling. I used some Sheer ribbon for the bows. It's kind of over the top but I plan to use it for a gift for a good friend who will appreciate all the work I put into it.

Circle Challenge Week #7 Thank You Card & Color Challenge

This weeks entry has the requirement of 4 colors and it is to be a Thank you card. I used Basic Grey Green at Heart. I stitched around the base and then cut for circles and four flowers from George Cart and Thank you from Alphalicious Cart. I embossed the circles with the Circles embossing folder and the flowers as well. I used a stitched brad from Green at Heart for the center of the flower.

Ornament Contest Entry for Circle Magazine

It's difficult to get a good picture but I used SEI paper from the Christmas Mint Collection. The biggest cut is from French Manor Cartridge and I cut 2 of the same pieces and glued them back to back and then cut one in half and glued it to make it 3D. The paper I used on this cut was Peppermint Bark. Then I cut the center snow flake from Winter Woodland Cartridge and used Meringue (pearl paper). I cut the other two snowflakes from the same cartridge (Winter Woodland) and used Marzipan and Raspberry Truffle. I took the inside of the first cut from French Manor and cut it in half gluing again back to back to make it thicker and then I cut it in half and used my Cuttlebug with the Snowflakes embossing plate to give the last cut some dimension and to stick to the rules of using two Provo Craft Products. I tied the snowflakes on with fishing line and added some Swarovski crystals to make it sparkle. The ribbon to make the loop to hang on the tree is from Stamp'in Up.

Celebrate Card

I got a start on another project today, a card. It's not finished yet, but here is a first glance. I used the Celebrate with Flourish.

Fall Hoot 'N' Holler Card

This is today's creation...I am really starting to get into the groove, but back to work tomorrow. So for today I made a card 4X6. I used SEI Sophia paper. The base is Sophia rum raisin. I layered on top of that some SEI velvet paper in Sophia amber, cutting that 3.75 in by 5.75 in. I wrapped a ribbon around it, that is also from SEI, but I don't know the name. I used Cricut Lite Hoot 'n' Holler to cut the owl <19> and the branch <1> with leaves and layered them. I used Sophia terra rosa on the chest of the owl and Sophia vanilla bean for the second layer. The base is Sophia rum raisin (same as card base) to get the feet and beak. I cut the owl 3.25 in. I cut the branch and leaves at 4. 5 inches. I cut it all together on my Gypsy. The pattern paper on the leaves is another velvet paper Sophia persimmon. I used plain white for the eyes and I accented with some bling, also from SEI. The letters were cut from Ashlyn's Alphabet with Sophia rum Raisin as the shadow and the opposite side of that paper which is a misty green color.

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge French Manor Cartridge

This card was made for the weekly Cricut Circle Challenge using the French Manor cartridge and embellishing with gemstones, pearls or jewels. On the outside of this card I used SEI Paper called Mimosa Mint Juep for the background. I cut the window and then cut out behind it and put velum so you could see through the card to the inside. I cut the bird using Robin and the layer for the branch. For the Robin I used SEI Mimosa Daiquiri. The strip across the top is SEI Mimosa Margarita. I used Heidi Swapp Pink Jewels to accent.

On the inside I used SEI Mimosa Guava for the background. I cut the Frame using French Manor and the paper is SEI Mimosa Margarita. I cut the model using the Forever Young Cartridge. She is model 17. I cut her dress out using SEI Mimosa Chartreuse. I used the Hanna Montana Cartridge to do the font on the front and the back. Although it is hard to see some of the paper has glitter and some is shimmery; that is how it came, I did not add anything to it.

The card is made so you can "peek" through it like the bird! Enjoy! Thanks for looking!
